Radroaches are cockroaches mutated by the Nuclear Fallout and have become giant.  They can get into anything including Vaults such as Vault 101. Radroaches are one of the weakest creatures in Fallout 3.  They are very common and be easily killed by level 1 characters and basically serve as nothing more than annoying pests.
